About Us
Hello! Thanks for visiting The Daisy Deals! I’m Maria, and together with my sister Terry, we created this little online space that we hope you’ll enjoy. We first started The Daisy Deals as a Facebook group, as retirement was approaching, as a way to stay busy and (hopefully) supplement our incomes. In the early days, we were both still working full time and couldn’t give it the time we wanted. Now I’m retired, and Terry is almost there—so we’re excited to put more energy into growing this project together. In addition to sharing great deals, we’ll have a page devoted to puzzles, recipes, hacks, and more. We’ll also post the occasional blog with all kinds of helpful information. We hope you’ll stop by often to see what’s new!
Our Mission
To find the best deals across the internet and post them here! We will always do our best to find and post only the best deals on high-quality, highly-rated products. We want you to look forward to visiting The Daisy Deals often, so in addition to great deals, we’ll share an occasional blog, and we’ll be posting puzzles, recipes, contests and more!
Why We Created This Website
As we posted above, we originally started The Daisy Deals as a Facebook group. After a couple of years of spending all of our free time working on the group, we began to realize that the majority of sales that were generated from our group were being credited to coupon apps like Rakuten, Honey and Capital One. This means that while we did all of the work to find and post the deals, they could swoop in at checkout and steal our commissions, which they did the vast majority of times, and there was nothing we could do about that on Facebook. We absolutely understand customers wanting to take advantage of coupons, but these apps were able to steal our commissions just by offering the possibility of a coupon, even if they didn’t actually provide one. That, and the fact that there are so many other groups like ours on Facebook, made it really difficult to stay motivated to keep going, so we needed to take a break and regroup. With this new website, we have the ability to protect our links from outside apps a little better, and we can also offer some other fun features, which we hope you’ll love!
